What percentage of staff who stock VR devices in store have received training, information or advice on VR products? Though the majority of your colleagues in VR selling stores have received training, nearly 30% is still a massive training gap considering the current focus on the headsets. Of those who received no information, training or advice, 37% said they would feel confident selling a VR device. Of those who had received information, training or advice 87.1% said they would feel confident in selling VR devices. It’s hard to know what’s more alarming with this information, that 37% of those untrained feel confident selling something they know nothing about, or that customers interested in VR could receive a poor in-store experience because of this. It’s not surprising that those who don’t stock these devices are less likely to have received training on them, but there are very good reasons to know about VR, even if you don’t sell it. For instance, a customer might want to know what models are compatible with their existing VR device, or they may want help setting up one they’ve bought to work with the phone you’ve supplied.
